No one does glamour quite like Claridge’s, and for good reason too. Over the years, the hotel has played host to some of the silver screen’s most iconic figures, from Garbo to Gable. Today, the hotel is championing its own glamour revival and has created a new selection of decadent spa treatments in homage to its famous patrons.
Now we’re not usually ones to be seduced by images of grandeur, but the spa’s revamped menu has been thoughtfully constructed to offer ladies, and more importantly gents, the type of pampering customary of a bygone era. Men will be spoilt for choice for a change; offerings include the two-hour ‘Clark Gable’ consists of a deep tissue massage and a La Prairie men’s cellular facial, while the ‘Fred Astaire,’ conceived to keep one light on the feet, offers a one-hour personal training session before the indulgence commences.
For women, the ‘Greta Garbo’ treatment caters to those who want to be alone by serving a light lunch after a restorative Swedish massage and cellular facial, while the comprehensive ‘Vivien Leigh’ packs all the necessities in with a back massage, facial, nail file and polish, and eyebrow tidy, topped off with a pot of Darjeeling tea (a nod to the actress’s birthplace.)
Treatments from the Timeless Glamour menu starting from £170.
Claridge’s Beauty & Fitness appointments are available from Mon-Fri 6am to 9pm, Sat 8am to 9pm and Sun 8am to 8pm.
