A Table, by Sebastian Bergne, London, UK
For 20 years Sebastian Bergne has been quietly designing kitchenware for Tefal, Muji, Swarovski, even Heston Blumenthal. His simple products have been exhibited before, most notably by London’s Design Museum and the MoMA in New York and nearly always behind glass. Bergne’s latest exhibition, ‘A Table’ at London’s Great Western Studios, promises to be different. His new and unseen glassware will accompany some 15 years of work – on a vast tabletop, where it belongs. By day, the designs will form an eye-catching display. But at night, a series of lively, wine-fuelled dinners will take place, where the tableware can be fully appreciated. Book your place now
‘A Table’ runs from 23 February through 8 March at Great Western Studios, 65 Alfred Road, London W2 5EU; http://www.greatwesternstudios.com/
