Marking their first collaboration, designers Monika Kořínková and Barbora Šimková debuted their Pierot porcelain tableware collection at the recent 2015 Designblok in Prague.

Including cups and saucers, bowls and vases, the handmade collection is the duo’s attempt to 'bring back a certain culture of dining,' they say. 'We would like to stir people to stop for awhile in these hectic days by continuing in a certain tradition of dining aesthetics.'

Enhancing a soft colour palette with gold inlays and detailing – and on some of the pieces incorporating the technique of dark porcelain – the collection’s aesthetic was achieved through the recycling and combining of old shapes of tableware, inspired by various porcelain decors as well as cut glass. 'We love to visit vintage shops where we can find a wide variety of objects –  some of them nearly 100 years old.'

The evolving collection will include the addition of special pieces for Christmas.
