The brand new Women’s Institute and Municipal Archives building in the small city of Mostoles, near Madrid, consists of two separate structures with different uses conceived as a united complex under one roof. Madrid-based Nodo17 architects won the double commission three years ago and designed the two parts to unite the neighbouring streets and create a semi-open public plaza and gardens right in the city centre.
