Endemico Resguardo Silvestre, Valle de Guadalupe, Mexico
If France has its Three Musketeers, then Mexico has the Habita trio. More precisely, the Micha brothers and Carlos Couturier, of the design-conscious Mexican hotel group behind Downtown hotel in Mexico City (winner of a Wallpaper* Design Award 2012). Now they have launched an altogether different venture: a luxury camping experience. Set on the rocky hills of Valle de Guadalupe, the eco resort of Endémico Resguardo Silvestre is a short drive from the Pacific Ocean and just 40 minutes from San Diego airport. Designed by local architect Jorge Gracia, the site features a dramatic pool and a restaurant overseen by the Culinary Arts School of Tijuana. The camp's 20 wooden cube bungalows comprise handpicked furniture, clay chimneys and private terraces
