Adif, Spain’s leading railway station operator, has unveiled an original and engaging hotel beside Malaga’s new AVE station. Part of the Spanish Barceló group, the hotel was built by local architect Tolo Cursach and decorated by interior designer Jordi Torres. The industrial-style space, all concrete, steel and glass, has a spectacular, high-ceilinged lobby that, with its apparently floating lamps and avant-garde design, is an art installation in itself. The sleek, sound-proofed contemporary rooms come with hydo-massage showers. The hotel is centrally located and 9km from the airport.
