LA-based designer Alexander Purcell evidently shares our penchant for an inventive drop. Only in this case it’s more about delivery than the beverage itself. Taking its name from that very American innovation of dunking a shot of sake into a pint of beer, the ceramic container eschews the traditional getup. Shaped somewhere between a WWII mine and a Japanese blowfish, it incorporates four small cups around the outside and is naturally insulated to keep your sake hot. Expect to see them on select modern tabletops, starting with SBE Hotels, which has already snapped up a batch for its restaurants.
