Tramuntana — Cadaques, Spain
Nestled in Cadaqués' old town, a gem on the Costa Brava, is Tramuntana, an inherited family house transformed into a unique, welcoming hotel. The minimal interior design, by Barcelona-based Intsight, was inspired by the pale sea greens and blues of the landscape and executed with Gervasoni furnishings and natural-fibre accessories. The stucco walls are textured as if blasted by the northerly Tramuntana winds. Breakfast features homemade breads and a calm, homely atmosphere, with breathtaking views of the mountains and sea. Outside, a hideaway formerly belonging to Salvador Dalí sits next to the town church. Visit both, then lose yourself in the traditional alleys of the old town.
