Paul Smith

It was following a severe bicycle accident at the young age of 17 that Paul Smith decided to carve his path in the world of fashion. Within two years, in 1970, Paul - with the help of then girlfriend, now wife Pauline Denyer – opened his first shop. Training by night to become a tailor, just six years later Smith showed his first collection on the Paris catwalk. 30 years later and Paul Smith has become the distinctive face of British fashion – sparking trends with a certain irony and extending his distinctive brand to countless other creative outlets. Never one to forget his roots however, Smith remains an integral cog in his utterly inimitable fashion and retail machine.
