A vibrant design outlet at the best of times, the Barbican Art Gallery is this winter set to spread its retail wings, setting up store in the expansive foyer of the institution with three takes on the pop-up shop. Featuring kitchenware by Marimekko and glass by Alvar Aalto at the Art Gallery pop-up shop; Alessi tableware by Ron Arad and wooden owls by Matt Pugh at the Art Gallery Winter shop and intricate contemporary jewellery from the likes of Bettina Stark and Anoush Waddington at the Designer Jewellers Group+, the suitably eclectic range of stalls on offer should be enough to satisfy any taste. All three will remain in-situ at the Barbican for the span of the festive period.
