Home to Siobhan Davies dance school, the studios are an architectural amalgamation of contemporary styles. Winner of a RIBA Award in 2006, Sarah Wigglesworth Architects has incorporated an undulating wave-like roof atop a traditional yellow brick school building. In fitting with the contrasting style, the façade takes its modernist patchwork cue from the large, traditional windows on the original section of the build. Complimentary without being dominant, the Studios are an architecturally sensitive example of how best to adapt original features into a contemporary, elegant design. %A
