Barbican Centre Silk Street EC2Y 8DS%A
One of the best-known examples of Brutalist architecture anywhere in the world, the Barbican consists of a selection of stark concrete volumes housing everything from a cultural centre to residential apartments and a theatre school. Originally designed by Chamberlin Powell & Bon in 1963, the centre has undergone several renovations over the years. The Open House tours will give visitors an overview of the original buildings, the high-walks and the current £14.1 million refurbishment currently underway by David Walker Architects.%A%A
