Augmented reality enthusiast Keiichi Matsuda has created a suspended, faceted sculpture for London's V&A Museum, made from Japanese washi paper. Commissioned by Veuve Clicquot for the London Design Festival, the 'Prism' paints a unique portrait of London by compiling various digital data flows from infrastructure around the capital. Projected across its surface are real time data streams, including transport networks, Barclays bike rentals, traffic cameras, the weather and even the water level of the Thames, to unify our physical and virtual worlds and expose a second unseen layer of the city. The Prism will hang from a little-seen cupola of the museum during the festival, until 23 September.
