Watch the making of Tom Fereday’s new ‘Crawford’ collection of furniture
The fruits of a new collaboration between emerging Australian designer Tom Fereday, Asian department store Lane Crawford and furniture brand Stellar Works unveils at Salone del Mobile in Milan.
Celebrating a merging of cultures, the ‘Crawford’ collection comprises lounge chair, bed, tables and dining chair. ‘The collection is a considered range with subtle design details that invite the user with focus on honest materials and longevity of design,’ says Fereday. ‘With sustainability as a fundamental core, the Crawford collection was developed with both integrity and longevity in mind.’ Constructed using FSC-certified timbers, natural fabrics and removable steel frames, ‘Crawford’ is more than just aesthetically elegant.
Fereday was the winner of the Lane Crawford Creative Call Out 2018, and this collaboration champions the evolving Asian design market. The pieces will be on view at Stellar Work’s theatrical showcase in Milan this year that will feature choreographed sets by creative directors Neri + Hu. Writer: Luke Halls
The ‘Crawford’ collection will be on view 9-14 April at ‘Behind The Scenes’ at Galleria Manzoni, Via Alessandro Manzoni, 42
