Bindella restaurant review - Tel Aviv, Israel
Swiss restaurateur Christian Bindella has a lot on his plate. This fourth-generation Bindella-family descendant, owner of 40 restaurants throughout Switzerland, has recently expanded the chain with an outpost in the heart of Tel Aviv. Maintaining the Italian concept, the bistro has concrete, steel and wood interiors and a relaxing atmosphere inspired by the Bindella vineyard in Tuscany. To reference the family vines, local practices Pitsou Kedem Architects and designer Amit Baranowitz created a dramatic ceiling with a grape motif continuing throughout the space and on the large metal door at the entrance. A long, black-ironed basalt crudo bar invites guests to indulge in a mix of raw fish and meaty Italian dishes prepared by chef Roy Soffer. He promises a blend of innovative tastes with limoncello risotto, mushroom-crusted drum fish and lamb ossobuco, followed by the house Grappa Oro.
