London Design Festival 2017 preview

Summer may be winding down in London, but things in the British capital are just hotting up. The London Design Festival (16-24 September) is set to kick off this week, with galleries, museums and studios in all corners of the metropolis poised for action. This year – in addition to popular staples like the Landmark projects and V&A installations – the festival is upping the ante, introducing Mayfair as the newest bustling design hub, as well as the inaugural Design Frontiers exhibition at Somerset House. From Shoreditch’s hidden pockets to Chelsea’s well-heeled design district, we’ve mapped out the top 20 exhibitions, installations and events not to be missed...

Fredrikson Stallard

This festival’s new Mayfair design route includes the latest works from Fredrikson Stallard, in an exhibition titled ‘Intuitive Gestures’. The London-based design studio will showcase experimentations in acrylic, alabaster, and metal, including sculptural tables, architectural shelving and artful mirrors.
