London Design Festival 2016 preview
As summer draws to a close, London braces itself for a rush of activity, biggest – and most exciting – of all: its annual creative showcase. This year’s festivities stretch across the capital, from the London Design Festival hub at the V&A, to the newly baptised London Design Fair in the east, alongside veterans like Clerkenwell and Brompton, by way of new district Brixton, and a few other surprises along the way. (Not to mention the inaugural London Design Bienniale, which will take place simultaneously, too!) To make navigating London’s design wonders infinitely more enjoyable we’ve put together an edit of the top 20 exhibitions, events and installations, just for you…

The Shoreditch hub is gearing up for its second collection of design hotel essentials. Curated by Laura Houseley, this year’s project invites six new products to be injected around the hotel’s interior. Highlights include cocktail tumblers by Jochen Holz, and bar cladding and ceramics by Turner Prize winner Assemble.
