There’s no shortage of fairs at any given week, but the art world’s agenda well and truly kicks off with Art Basel Hong Kong (29–31 March), the Swiss fair’s first entry of three in the calendar year. With 248 galleries from 32 territories participating, the 2018 edition promises to be an especially memorable affair: art dealer David Zwirner set his sights on Hong Kong with the debut of a new gallery space in January, while Hauser & Wirth will launch a 10,000 sq ft venue in the new H Queen’s development in Central district. The harbourfront will see plenty of action at the city’s first outdoor sculpture park, and Art Central (27 March – 1 April), which returns for its fourth edition – not to mention the exhibitions, events and soirées happening throughout Hong Kong.
