'Oak Season', Christopher Pearson, 2008 (scroll down to read more about the piece)
Using three pairs of 3D laser-etched glass screens, Christopher Pearson brings together his passion for traditional illustration with technological experimentation. By lighting each panel internally, a series of images are illuminated that represent the growth cycle of an oak tree.
With a tree for all seasons, Pearson has amusingly incorporated images of UK road maps and swinging light bulbs amongst the leaves and branches, constantly surprising the viewer.
