25hours Bikini — Berlin, Germany
Hip German hotel brand 25hours has opened its seventh outpost in Berlin, close to the city's celebrated zoo. Located in the 1950s, listed Bikinihaus, the 149-room hotel has been designed by local outfit Studio Aisslinger, which, in a nod to its setting, has created bright, foliage-filled rooms, with quirky, animal-related touches. 'Nature meets culture,' says Henning Weiss, head of operations at 25hours. 'We have the zoo and the Tiergarten park on one side, the city with all its hubbub on the other.' The Monkey Bar and lobby lounge offer late-night socialising, while, for the morning after, the third-floor bakery prepares delicious pastries.
