The craze for Carlo Mollino has no intention of abiding, not the least at Restart, where Milan-based designer Maurizio Navone has created a new collection inspired by the Turin-based architect. Starting with Mollino’s love for dramatically curtained walls, Navone has created a similar effect with new Alcantara fabrics, while a selection of past Restart designs will also be shown upholstered in Alcantara. New pieces, including lamps, chairs as well as mirrors with a shelving system have also been inspired by Mollino. Also on show will be Mollino’s famous collection of nude polaroids from the 1960s and 70s, which have been borrowed from Milan-based gallerist Francesca Kauffman.
