Last year the Garage San Remo was anointed with Maarten Baas’ pop circus installation, an event that set fire to the 5Vie District as Milan’s hot new home for design event. This year the same space will be taken over by Max Lamb with a retrospective show. Entitled ’Exercises in Seating,’ the exhibition features every chair the London based designer has ever created, including versions in copper, marble, wood, stone and polyurethane as well as seven new designs made specially for the Salone. In the same vein as his graduate show at the Royal College of Art, the 38 chairs will be configured into a gigantic circle formation inside the garage.
