The photographers bringing a new focus to our world view at Unseen Amsterdam
Part art fair, part contemporary photography festival, Unseen Amsterdam (20 – 22 September) is returning to the city’s former gasworks for its eighth edition. This year marks newly minted artistic director Marina Paulenka’s first at the helm: of the 140 artists featured more than 95 are presenting new work, with 19 galleries participating for the first time. The talks programme, organised in collaboration with the V&A and LagosPhoto, will bring together photographers, academics and industry professionals from across the globe, while the Book Market – hosted at Westergas’ Transformatorhuis – sees 85 independent publishers present their latest titles. Here’s the Wallpaper* pick of the fair.
