Prada’s A/W 2017 menswear set explores the semiotics of sleep

With a domestically-inspired runway, featuring seating allocations on both single and double beds, guests at Prada’s A/W 2017 menswear show were greeted with a distinctly intimate catwalk set up.

Created by frequent collaborator AMO (the research arm of Rem Koolhaas’ OMA studio), Prada’s via Fogazzaro venue was carved into sections using curving wooden partitions, interspersed with cushioned benches and leather-clad beds.

Formica and ceramic tile-covered panels in mustard yellow, moss green and light turquoise imbued the set with a domestic 1970s flair, one made more sinister and unsettling by the clinical tiling that also covered the pristinely-made bed frames.
