Puro Łódź — Łódź, Poland
The Puro group's latest opening has landed in the old industrial Polish city of Łódź

With stealth and considerable élan, the Puro group is turning out one perfectly conceived boutique hotel at a time, its newest property just landing in the old industrial city of Łódź.
Sandwiched between the grand neo-baroque Poznański Palace and the red-bricked Manufaktura retail complex, the 130-room hotel is the work of ASW Architekci and London-based studio Superfutures.
The décor references the city’s cinematic links and reputation as a creative hotbed – which explains both the bijou in-house cinema, modern kilims and hand-woven wall hangings by local studio Tartaruga in the suites, and photographs and retro film posters scattered through the hotel.
A pre-prandial drink on the rooftop bar accompanied by live DJ acts and a view of Poznański Palace sets the mood for dinner at the Asia-inspired Miska Gastro Bowls downstairs where chef Marcin Małecki sends out imaginative plates like crunchy squid paired with a sauce of Earl Grey and coriander sauce, and a grilled beef entrecote nuzzling Jerusalem artichokes, green beans, and sesame.
