The Double-Six hotel Seminyak is a new addition to Kadek Wirantha’s hospitality kingdom, bringing a new level of luxury to Bali. This outpost combines theatrical elements and high-quality design by HC2 Architecture and haute-couture designer Chossy Latu, who conceived the staff uniforms. For its latest restaurant opening, Wirantha teamed up with Robert Marchetti of QT Hotels, who assembled a team of Italians to run the open-air establishment. Seminyak Italian Food offers breakfast, lunch and dinner overlooking the winding beach. Murals by Stephan Ormandy line the ground-floor space and, on the roof, Justine Missen’s graphics feature Marchetti’s journey to Bali. Guests can take away gelato or limoncello popsicles from the Lagoon wheeled bar. In August, the Sling Bar will open for martinis and the Plantation Grill for meat and local fish dishes within a retro-colonial 1950s interior. For sundowners, Double-Six will soon launch one of the world’s largest rooftop bars, with an outdoor cinema to boot.
