Founded in 1985 as a small east London-based cluster of design, SCP celebrates its 30th anniversary this year and the great achievements the past three decades have brought. One of the first non-Italian companies to be allowed on the Milanese fairgrounds, SCP pays tribute to the milestone with the debut of the Classics line, which will re-introduce early pieces by designers who played a key role in the company’s early developments. The pieces by Konstantin Grcic, Matthew Hilton, Jasper Morrison, Terence Woodgate, Michael Marriott and the late James Irvine were originally designed between 1985 and 1999 and form a fitting representation of SCP’s role in the development of the British design scene.
