This month sees a new addition to east London’s menswear scene in the form of Hostem - a design-conscious establishment revelling in its newly transformed industrial space.
The store, which will stock names like Ann Demeulemeester, Visvim and Rick Owens, has been designed by JAMESPLUMB - a company founded by Hannah Plumb and James Russell who debuted at this year’s Salone del Mobile in Milan.
The interior incorporates striking design elements that range from a leaf-covered pew that stands centrepiece as a central front desk, to vintage US trouble lighting, which hangs from long cables allowing customers to manoeuvre the glow in order to better examine clothes.

The Hostem philosophy is based on a simple aesthetic which denounces the ’shock and awe’ concept of menswear stores.
