Over the summer, it was hard to ignore the rise and rise of stonewashed denim – from Vetements’ pricy high-rise, straight-legged jeans to the high street’s plethora of cropped, flared and fringed iterations. But as the weather turns cooler, so too do denim’s shades, with brands from 7 For All Mankind to G-Star reverting to indigo.

Gone are the rips, tears, shredding and distressing in favour of a more tailored approach. AG has introduced a unisex indigo-dyed capsule collection that goes beyond jeans, while Diesel Black Gold’s catwalk denim has been appliquéd with lace inserts for evening.
