Mood board: Rodolfo Paglialunga hit the nail on the head for his second women’s collection at Jil Sander which was drawn with long, lean lines and splashed with pops of colour and vividly drawn lines.
Best in show: Aside from lean jackets worn like coats over wide-legged trousers (which were terrific), Paglialunga also worked on reinventing the wrap dress, cutting it from sturdy wools and knits that had a modernist air.
Finishing touches: The boot of the season appeared at Jil Sander in bright hues of neon orange, saffron yellow and midnight blue. Round-toed with a stacked heel, they rode up the leg like straight cylinders and featured exaggerated vamps and heel caps in the same tone but in a contrasting material - such as suede on calf or leather and croc.
