Nuori debuts its first line of beauty accessories
The beauty brand applies the best of Scandinavian design to its new grooming tools.
How do you create a product that simultaneously modern and timeless? That was the question Peter Bonnén, one half of the skincare brand Nuori, and design studio NR2154 were trying to answer as they drafted plans for Nuori’s first line of grooming accessories.

The end result is a range of vegan leather cosmetic cases and combs that, with their clean lines and bold colours, express the most quintessential aspects of Scandinavian design: simplicity, efficiency, and elegance.
There is perhaps no brand better suited than Nuori to bring Nordic aesthetics into the realm of grooming. Established in 2015 by Jasmi Bonnén, Nuori was a pioneer of ‘fresh beauty’ with its small-batch formulas that are freshly blended every 10 to 12 weeks, as opposed to the chemical-packed beauty products made to line shelves for months or even years.

Five years later, the brand is applying that same ‘fresh’ perspective to their beauty tools, thanks in part to the insight of Jasmi’s partner Peter Bonnén, co-founder of the design agency Muuto. Representing the best of new Scandinavian design, Muuto was a key proponent of the Nordic design boom in the early aughts. The lessons Bonnén learned during his time there informed this latest project with Nuori.
For Bonnén and the rest of the Nuori team, it was important these objects were sustainable both in their material construction, vegan leather satchels and biodegradable cellulose combs, and their aesthetic design.
'One of the values I've taken with me from working in design for a long time is creating something that looks still looks modern today and 10 years from now’ says Bonnén. ‘And that plays a role in the object’s sustainability, if it’s designed well you’ll want to keep it forever.’
The travel cases and combs are available in four shades- neutral, rose, ocean, and black- and can be purchased from Nuori’s website.
