Stella McCartney, Autumn/Winter 2008 (scroll down to read more)
Stella McCartney
Voluminous shapes, very short hems and towering wedges with undercut heels made the Stella McCartney collection one of the sexiest we have seen. Floaty dresses in printed silk Georgette, were worn shrugged off the shoulder. Others were trimmed with Broderie Anglaise or teamed with panels of saucy lace.

Silhouettes and shapes were simple and easy, so there was more room for graphic pattern like the hand-felted wools (with two or more colours blended together), the knit jacquards with heraldic style crests and the wide irregular stripes that resembled blankets. They all had the cocooning vibe that we have seen so much of but in a subtler more feminine way.
