The latest venture from restaurateur Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality is a new eatery in New York’s Battery Park City offering seasonal local fare. Conceived by architecture firm Bentel & Bentel (the company behind the Gramercy Park Hotel), the interior of this laid back restaurant is a re-imagined old-school American bar and grill, decked out with blue leather banquets, wooden chairs and updated retro factory lights. With custom-made wood-burning grills, the menu focuses on seafood with an emphasis on grilling, including dishes like Louisiana shrimp with fennel, clam pizza and pumpkin crab soup.
