Yves Béhar

Swiss designer, entrepreneur and an educator Yves Behar founded Fuseproject in 1999.

In the past two decades, Yves Behar has applied his design thinking to technology-driven products and innovations, most notably the One Laptop Per Child (OLPC) project, the ‘Sayl’ office chair for Herman Miller, the wireless Jambox speaker and August, a maker of home security systems.

‘I see the technology and software as an ingredient, a tool, not the be-all and end-all,’ he said to Wallpaper* in a recent interview. ‘I want to be a designer who puts the human connection at the very centre of people’s lives – that belief has always animated my work.’
