Last year, Oki Sato presented an enormously impressive year showcase of his work. For 2016, the Japanese designer is yet again showing his ability to straddle quantity and quality with an installation of 50 chairs, inspired by Manga comics, created for Friedman Benda Gallery in New York. In similarly grid-like structures to Manga narratives, Nendo has formed these abstract steel pieces, all reflective and whimsical alterations of the original line-work frame.
