Mood board: It’s been 20 years since the death of Gianni Versace, who was murdered outside his Miami Beach home at the age of 50. Donatella Versace’s collection – one that has dominated Instagram feeds – was a tribute to the designer’s beloved brother. It was strong on reinterpreted archive pieces and prints from the early 1990s, like thigh-high embellished cross boots from A/W 1991, bright Andy Warhol prints, underwater Tresor de la Mer and over the top baroque motifs. A Who’s Who of models sashayed down the catwalk in leather, denim, vivid prints, cowboy hats, and sexy thigh split dresses.

Flanked by the original 1990s supermodels, the designer walked the runway to George Michael’s freedom, and a rapturous standing ovation from the audience.
