Sportmax S/S 2017

Mood board: Sportmax's commitment to cool modernism continues to drive the Italian label up the ranks of brands to watch. Simple, architectural cuts combined with exquisite materials give the whole collection a minimalist-loving mood, but there are always surprising thrills of colour and embellishment to add an intriguing element to the folds of purism.
Best in show: Though the perfect cotton poplin strapless dresses whose flounces filled with sail-like air was sublime the standout pieces of this show were the knit tube dresses in vertical swirls of red and white or navy and black with a scalloped trim.
Finishing touches: The brand's cool graphic appeal came to a head in footwear which was low lifter on triangle-shaped funnel heels and sloping towards pointed toes.
