Dsquared2 S/S 2016
Mood board: This season Dean and Dan Caten took the sexy one piece bathing suit as their beloved runway toy, cutting away nearly every inch of it that wasn’t strategically necessary and pairing it with billowing, open-front silk ball skirts, low slung wide leg cropped trousers or mini skirts, all in saturated, Technicolor hues that made their runway sway with happiness.
Best in show: After their sensational Eskimo-esque winter collection, the workmanship continues to skyrocket at Dsquared2. Spring brought some brilliant patch-worked mini dresses whose panels were made up of intricate embroideries and prints.
Finishing touches: Chunky necklaces, looking like clusters of coral and coloured sea stones, clenched to the models’ necks. The shoes, meanwhile, were killer heeled booties made out of neoprene straps and brandished with oversized seashells.
