Burberry Prorsum S/S 2016
Christopher Bailey's 'Straight-Laced' Chelsea boys and girls close the LC:M shows
Mood Board: Further blurring the season's gender divide Christopher Bailey seized the opportunity to showcase his S/S 2016's 'Straight-Laced' men's offering, alongside his latest women's pre-collection, which morphed Chantilly lace men's shirts with delicate tea dresses and handsome car coats. Bailey also pushed leisurewear to the limit, styling his luxurious cashmere knitted jogging pants with a shirt, tie and quilted biker jacket, as big cat prints were introduced to his new slim-line 'Chelsea' tailoring and trench coats.
Best in show: In addition to the freshly planted English summer blooms that circled Burberry's Kensington Gardens tent and a live 24-piece orchestra that kept the pace, Bailey's cool blue double-faced cashmere topcoat teamed with khaki trousers hit a fresh high note in the colour palette stakes.
Finishing touches: Tasseled slippers and a range of jewel colours put the finishing touches on the chief creative and executive officer's spring dandy.
