Diligently spreading the gospel of good design for the past five years, British retailer Established & Sons has this month stepped its retail presence up a gear, with a new website and cyber sales partnership with online store, Yoox.com.
Established and Sons
With the understated Established & Sons approach firmly in mind, the website features a range of key pieces from both the principle and signature collections.
Following suit from the gaggle of companies aiming to soothe the transition from designer to customer, the new website comes bolstered by a commercial collaboration with Italian-based, online fashion and design store - Yoox.com
Continuing to advocate the work of designers ranging from Sam Hecht through to Jasper Morrison and Sebastian Wrong – the Yoox-based outlet will provide 24 hour access to the best of the Established & Sons collection. As company founder, Alasdhair Willis explains ’ The announcement of our partnership with Yoox will now give Established & Sons a genuine online presence.’
In celebration of the company’s revitalized Internet presence, the Established & Sons central London gallery will this month play host to a temporary retail installation - mirroring the ‘shop within a shop’ set-up of the web-based venture.
In-situ until the 17th December, the installation takes its cue from wood-clad, period-influenced West London establishments. In accompaniment to the double-edged retail launch, Established & Sons have drafted London-based, experimental design outfit, Committee to produce a one-off item to go on sale online.
Jarring and alluring, Committee’s resulting ‘Bits and Bobs’ box comes constructed from an eclectic range of objects, including a mini ladder, a plumbing fixture and something a bit like a sea urchin. Produced in both solid silver and gold, and with a limited run of only 24 pieces, ‘Bits and Bobs’ is now available exclusively from Yoox.com, following a price fluctuating late-night shopping launch at the in-store installation last week.
