About eight months ago, on a rare quiet afternoon at Wallpaper* HQ, just as we were wondering whether bespoke transport was something we should treat ourselves to, given it was our birthday, we got a spookily prescient call from the people at Ferrari. They had a proposition for us.
Ferrari, of course, is so much more than a car manufacturer. It is the world’s most famous, most prestigious motoring marque, a name synonymous with speed and glamour (and Magnum and Miami Vice, lest we forget). Ferrari was of a mind that we were a good match. So they offered to build us a car, our perfect car...
