Team Hilfiger rallied a cast of what seemed like thousands to construct (and turf) its 30th anniversary show spectacular during New York Fashion Week
Inspired by the brand’s all-American heritage, the nation’s Super Bowl obsession and Ali MacGraw’s preppy, Ivy League style in the film Love Story, Randall Peacock, who has created Hilfiger’s sets since 2012, transformed Park Avenue’s Armory into a Gridiron football field. The life-like spectacle came complete with bright green AstroTurf, bleachers for audience seating and even a Jumbotron.
Putting a fashion spin on the Sunday night sporting event, floodlights brightly illuminated the set’s finer details that included locker room access and rows of at-the-ready football helmets, each engraved with a model’s name. Game on.
