If there’s one thing that will get Bangkokians reaching for their phones, it’s the launch of a new bar or restaurant from local hospitality group Lebua Hotels and Resorts. Continuing its partnership with wine and spirit producer Pernod Ricard, Lebuar has opened Alfresco 64 – A Chivas Bar, located on the 64th floor of its hotel at the State Tower skyscraper.
Design by chief executive Deepak Ohri and local firm DWP takes its cues from the glitzy world of luxury yachts and private jets – think sleek deck-style hardwoods, leather and glass. The perfect spot for a postprandial tipple, we suggest a perch on the outdoor terrace, where glittering vistas of Bangkok and the meandering Chao Phraya River are the perfect backdrop to enjoy the limited-edition Scotch created by Chivas Regal for Lebua, the first special blend it has made exclusively for a client in 230 years.
