Pringle of Scotland S/S 2016
Scene setting: In one of the week's most poetic presentations, 200-year-old knitwear brand Pringle commissioned the Michael Clark Company to conceive a live performance of ballet dancers skipping, hopping and pirouetting through the Galleria Sozzani in Milan's Corso Como 10 boutique, while wearing select pieces from the brand.
Mood board: Simplicity reigned as the historic company let its perfectly cut sweaters and tops be as pure and simple as the expert movements of the dancers.
Best in show: Both historical garments as well as pieces from Pringle's spring 2016 collection were featured on the dancers. The thickly ribbed white sweaters, in cardigan or crew neck versions, were beautifully treated basics worn with contrasting black underwear and pearl necklaces - yes, even on the men.
