With restaurants such as Farang, Gaijin and Boulevard Social under their belts, Finnish culinary duo Tomi Björck and Matti Wikberg have a certain flair when it comes to picking up what the Helsinki and Stockholm restaurant scene craves. In light of this, we are confident that Bronda, a modern Mediterranean brasserie, located alongside the Finnish capital's Esplanadi park, is set to be another smash hit for BW Restaurants. Located in the 600 sq m space that used to be the home of the much-loved KM Brondin bakery and café in the early 20th century, the building's original 7m high ceilings and large loft-style windows have been honoured by local outfit Futudesign, who chose a toned-down colour and material palette, featuring oak, brass and marble. A bespoke steel wine cabinet with room for over 800 bottles takes centre stage and doubles as a room divider between the more intimate cocktail bar and the airy dining hall.
