One of the most anticipated showings at this year’s Eurocucina in Milan was Marc Newson’s new range of gas hobs for Smeg, marking the first time the Italian kitchen specialist had collaborated with a non-Italian. The Australian industrial designer parsed his trademark rugged lines and intuitive control dials with an unusually cheerful colour palette that includes pastel green, orange, yellow and blue.
