'Revolution' lighting installation by Moritz Waldemeyer
Watch as space, line and proportion are brought to life with bright lights for our Wallpaper* Handmade with Jaguar exhibition
Designer Moritz Waldemeyer put light in motion in his 'Revolution' installation for our Wallpaper* Handmade with Jaguar exhibition in the windows of Harrods. Thousands of LEDs illuminate this thoroughly modern, crisp and elegant design, inspired by the clean aesthetic and linear purity of luxury automobiles. Fascinated by the philosophy of automotive design, Moritz utilises the core elements of space, line and proportion in his concept, inspired by Jaguar Design. The shapes revolve and intersect like gear wheels, putting emphasis on their mechanic beauty and paying homage to the understated and often forgotten appeal of a mechanical core. Five lampshade forms are mounted on rotating tubes and punctuated by three-dimensional lines that all come together to form a unified body. The 'Revolution' lighting installation is sponsored by Jaguar, inspired by Jaguar Design.
