Coffeemania — Moscow, Russia

Coffeemania-mania continues apace in Moscow, with a new restaurant on Lubyanka Square in an Art Nouveau building opposite the former KGB headquarters. David Collins Studio took inspiration from the brew to develop an interior that combines practicality with art. Columns soar from marble floors complementing the creamy wood walls; mirrors amplify light; and a striking clock and brass details add weight to the coffee bar. In a cosier adjoining hall, floors are stained 'espresso brown' and tabletops are grazed for decorative effect.
