OMA

OMA has defined 20th and 21st century architecture. The studio - known as the Office for Metropolitan Architecture in its unabbreviated form - was founded by Rem Koolhaas, Elia Zenghelis, Zoe Zenghelis and Madelon Vriesendorp in 1975 between New York and London. Now, from its main base in Rotterdam, it has completed a series of groundbreaking buildings across the globe, in its home country and abroad. Notable examples include the Prada Foundation complex in Milan, the CCTV building in China and BLOX in Copenhagen. Spatial experimentation and a continuous exploration of notions of urbanity, combined with a forward-thinking approach and bold volumes are staples for this exciting and prolific practice.
