London Design Festival 2017 preview
Summer may be winding down in London, but things in the British capital are just hotting up. The London Design Festival (16-24 September) is set to kick off this week, with galleries, museums and studios in all corners of the metropolis poised for action. This year – in addition to popular staples like the Landmark projects and V&A installations – the festival is upping the ante, introducing Mayfair as the newest bustling design hub, as well as the inaugural Design Frontiers exhibition at Somerset House. Italian designer Adam Nathaniel Furman has been studying the architecture of Rome since 2014; this exhibition includes a series of models he created over the past few years plus a new, site-specific installation, Pasteeshio, a 3D-printed glazed ceramic work.
